I live in Nashville Tennessee I met Gregg Allman one night at 3:00 a.m. when a friend brought him over to my house because he was looking for somebody that had a VCR and a piano and I had both. It was 1989 and I hung out with him for the next couple of years on and off he always called me like his little sister. I am the reason he did a surprise concert at a place called the Ace of clubs in Nashville.

I took my nephew to see Gregg Allman a year before his death, he was with his band and they were great, the next month we went to see Dr John at the same venue in Kansas City, and he was fantastic, they were both gone within a year, I am so glad that I introduced my nephew to these great artists

I think about how he and his brother lost their father when they were young to a hitchhiker who murdered him. Then I believe Dwayne died at 23 and Gregg was only 21. So Gregg had a lot of death in his early years.
